We currently have a vacancy for a Strategic Policy Manager to join our Strategy and Corporate Performance Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of regional strategic policy, within a well-established and highly regarded Mayoral Combined Authority. It offers an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious policy professional to progress key Mayoral and Combined Authority priorities in relation to strategic cross-cutting policy and emerging areas such as Devolution.
We are looking for an experienced Policy Manager to lead our Strategy Team. The Strategy Team is at the cutting edge of West Yorkshire’s approach to implementing the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill, and in collaborating with Government to implement emerging policy in our region and strengthen ways of working. The role will include driving forward the development of evidence-based policy and strategic thinking to support key priorities for West Yorkshire. The role is highly collaborative and will involve close working with colleagues across the organisation, as well as with Government, stakeholders, and wider regional partners. You will work directly with Senior Leaders within the organisation to make a real impact on this important work. The role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of the Combined Authority’s vision to make West Yorkshire a brighter place that works for all.
