The West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) are seeking to commission delivery partners to provide a new targeted Social Skills programme in West Yorkshire.
Social skills programmes (Social and Emotional Learning - Targeted as described by the Youth Endowment Fund) aim to develop positive behaviours, including children and young people’s ability to exercise self-control, to understand and respond appropriately to their emotions, and to understand things from other people’s perspectives. A key tenet of social skills programmes is the use of interactive activities, including role play, behavioural rehearsal, mindfulness and storytelling.
