Capital Delivery and Facilities Management Team (CDFM) provides a comprehensive Facilities Management service for all Council‑owned land and buildings. The team delivers capital projects, statutory compliance, servicing, and maintenance, and plays a key role in ensuring the safe and effective management of the Council’s assets.

As an Asset Management Officer, you will help ensure our assets are safe, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose, while supporting services and the communities they serve. You’ll work flexibly in a varied role that offers exposure to a diverse range of circumstances.

You will be expected to provide a high‑quality, customer‑focused service and build positive relationships with colleagues, contractors, residents, Members, and the public. You will need to manage expectations alongside agreed budgets and deadlines.

A professional, approachable, and solution‑focused attitude is essential, along with a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a Facilities or Asset Management environment.

You will initially join CDFM, with shared responsibility for the corporate land a portfolio, although longer term there will be the opportunity to manage portfolios in corporate buildings, schools and asset compliance, or supporting projects across the wider estate, depending on service need.
