Bradford is designated as a Spatial Priority Area in the Strategic Economic Plan (SEP). A historically important founder city within West Yorkshire’s economy, Bradford district continues to be a significant economic driver within the Leeds City region, with an economy worth over £9.2bn.
The A650 connects Bradford to parts of Leeds and Kirklees and serves as an alternative access to the motorway network.
