Be bright be seen

The longer nights and bad weather can make it tough to see and be seen. Many people commute to work or school in the dark over winter. Sadly, pedestrian deaths and serious injuries peak during these months. It’s crucial for everyone to stay safe and look out for others.

Top tips for being seen are:

  • Ensure your lights are on and working.
  • Look to keep your vehicles clean as they help reflect light better.
  • Take extra time to check the road before setting off or starting a manoeuvre.
  • Reduce speed if conditions are poor.
  • Wear bright or reflective clothing. Find out more on the be bright be seen webpage.
