Role details

We currently have vacancies for 2 Administrative Assistant Apprentice, to join our Employment and Skills Team.

We are looking to recruit 2 Administrative Assistant Apprentice to provide administrative support to the Employment and Skills team, within the Inclusive Economy, Skills & Culture Directorate of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

One role will sit within the Adult Skills Team where the successful candidate will be at the forefront of a programme focussed on upskilling adults, connecting them to employment opportunities and supporting career progression. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and driving the impact of devolved and delegated Adult Skills funds in West Yorkshire, as we redefine our plans looking towards an integrated settlement. Our mission is to improve the impact that funding has on the lives and prospects of West Yorkshire residents and the economy.

One role will sit within the Healthy Working Life Team, where the successful candidate will support the delivery of the Healthy Working Life Programme. This is a joint programme of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. The programme will deliver the region’s £37 million work and health plan, which has been created following consultation with residents and employers. The programme aims to grow the economy and encourage and support economically inactive residents across West Yorkshire - many of whom have long-term sickness or disability - into secure, rewarding and well-paid work. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the team to deliver projects that make a real difference to people’s lives and the region’s economy.

If you have a preference for which role you would like to be considered for, please state that within your application. If no preference is stated, we will assume consideration for both roles is required.

It is important that you demonstrate how your breadth of experience, knowledge and skills align with the role when applying.
