We currently have a vacancy for an Inclusive Economy Manager (Green Economy) to join our Green Economy sector team within the wider Business team of the Inclusive Economy, Skills and Culture Directorate.
The Business team leads on creating a thriving and globally recognised business and innovation ecosystem in West Yorkshire, ensuring collaboration and partnerships across the public and private sectors enables all businesses to succeed and strive to become fair employers. The team does this through its system leadership and enabling role, thought leadership and policy development, partnership development and strategic commissioning across key sectors and thematic areas such as innovation, export, business investment and inward investment.
This role sits within the green economy sector team. As one of three Inclusive Economy Managers in this team, you will be responsible for policy development, planning and commissioning relating to the green economy workstream. This will include developing policy options relating to green economy sector growth in West Yorkshire and identifying and implementing innovative interventions to shift the dial across industry decarbonisation, green tech cluster growth, and green economy supply chain development. This specific role will focus on growing green economy sector inward investment and sector growth opportunities in overseas markets, although there will also be opportunity to work across the wider sector team objectives.
