We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Policy Officer to join the Green Economy team within the wider Business, Innovation and Inclusive Economy team.
The Business, Innovation and Inclusive Economy team leads on creating a thriving and globally recognised business and innovation ecosystem in West Yorkshire, ensuring collaboration and partnerships across the public and private sectors enables all businesses to succeed and strive to become fair employers. The team does this through its system leadership and enabling role, thought leadership and policy development, partnership development and strategic commissioning across key sectors and thematic areas such as innovation, export, business investment and inward investment.
This role sits within the green economy sector team. As a Lead Policy Officer, you will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to lead the development and delivery of economic policies and initiatives. This will include shaping policy proposals, appraising strategic options, and coordinating key projects and programmes to ensure the successful delivery of the Green Economy Cluster Action Plan. You will also have opportunities to work across other areas of the Green Economy, including supporting the implementation of the Clean, Secure, Resilient: Driving Sustainable Business Growth Plan.
