We currently have a vacancy for a Principal Information Governance Officer (VRP) to join our Information Governance Team.
As our Principal Information Governance Officer supporting the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Combined Authority meets its statutory responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. You will act as the VRP’s specialist lead for information governance, providing expert advice on data sharing with a wide range of external partners and ensuring all arrangements are robust, compliant and fit for purpose.
Working closely with the VRP Director and the Head of Research, Analysis & Evaluation, you will help identify, access and govern data from diverse sources to support the VRP’s Knowledge Hub, problem profiling activity and the development, review and delivery of the VRP strategy. As Principal Information Governance Officer, your work will ensure that data is not only rigorously analysed and ethically managed but also used to drive evidence based action to reduce violence across West Yorkshire.
