We currently have a vacancy for a Programme Development Lead to join our Home Energy West Yorkshire team. This is a fixed term position for 12 months.
The Home Energy West Yorkshire Team form part of the Combined Authority’s Policing, Environment and Place Directorate.
Home Energy West Yorkshire was established to address one of the Combined Authority’s top three priorities: retrofitting homes to cut carbon emissions by 2038. Endorsed by West Yorkshire Leaders as a priority workstream – alongside Mass Transit and Bus Reform – the programme is integral to the mayor’s commitment to “tackle the climate emergency and protect our environment,” while also addressing the cost-of-living crisis by reducing fuel poverty.
As a dynamic and rapidly growing service area, our mission is to promote, enable and deliver retrofit solutions across all types of homes in the region, ensuring that everyone in West Yorkshire can live in a warm, comfortable, and low-carbon home. We lead impactful retrofit projects, strengthen the supply chain, and encourage innovation, all aimed at lowering domestic CO₂ emissions, which currently represent 30% of the region’s carbon footprint.
