Role details

We currently have a vacancy for a Travel Information Officer (Data) to join our Travel Information Data Team in Passenger Experience.

Following the Mayor’s decision to bring buses back under local control, there has never been a better time to join our Travel Information Team within Passenger Experience. As our new Travel Information Officer, you will play a key role in the transition to a franchised bus network, helping to shape the future of public transport services for the people of West Yorkshire.

You will be responsible for inputting bus registration data into our Public Transport Data Management tool to feed various passenger information outputs, ensuring accessibility and understanding for a broad range of customer audiences. This includes printed timetables, website pages, roadside displays, real-time systems, local/national journey planners, and apps. This process covers six major annual bus service changes, ad-hoc service updates, and seasonal variations, all whilst meeting fixed deadlines. Your work is crucial to the success of timely information being available for our customers.

To meet the tight deadlines of this role, you will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and relish the challenge of working as part of a fast-paced team.

It is important that you demonstrate how your breadth of experience, knowledge and skills align with the role when applying. We have therefore created comprehensive guidance for candidates, and you are strongly urged to read this before completing your application form. Please visit our Advice for Candidates webpage to find this guidance and further support in completing your application form.
