Mayor of West Yorkshire meets the new Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Michael Gove, MP. 

Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, has met with the new Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Michael Gove, MP

She was joined in the meeting by the country’s other nine Metro Mayors. Following the event, Tracy Brabin said:   

“I and the other Metro Mayors had a productive and positive meeting with new Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Michael Gove, yesterday.   

“He and I agreed that improved public transport connectivity, investment in skills, addressing the climate emergency, and an exciting and wide-ranging cultural offer were vital to levelling up.   

“I look forward to working with him and his department in partnership to deliver a just, fair and lasting recovery for our region.”
