Statement on the murder investigation in Huddersfield

Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, made a statement on the murder investigation in Huddersfield.

Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, Alison Lowe OBE said:

“It is utterly heart-breaking to hear news of the loss of such a young life within our community.

“I have been in personal contact with the Force and a full investigation is underway to identify those responsible.

“We do not expect to witness such tragic incidents here in West Yorkshire and I will be working closely with the Police, our Violence Reduction Unit and partners to provide the necessary support.”
