The Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund provides grants to voluntary groups, charities, and local partners working to prevent crime and improve safety in our neighbourhoods.

Mayor's Safer Communities Fund - Grant Round 8

Grant round 8 of the Mayor's Safer Communities Fund opened on 6 June 2025 and closed on July 4 2025. 

The awards evening for this round was held on 16 October 2025.

Please note: Successful bidders must attend the Safer Communities Fund awards night to receive their grant.

The Mayor’s fund is financed from monies recovered by West Yorkshire Police under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA). The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 lets the police and prosecutors confiscate or recover the proceeds of crime from criminals.
