We currently have a vacancy for an Asset Management Assistant to join our Facilities and Assets team on a permanent, part time (0.5 FTE) basis.
The Combined Authority has responsibility for approximately 14,000 bus stops, 20 bus stations and interchanges, rail stations, car parks, turning circles and a range of other assets that support public transport and communities across West Yorkshire every day.
As an Asset Management Assistant, you will join a collaborative team with 3 other Asset Management Assistants, supporting the Asset Manager in the repair, maintenance and management of the on-street infrastructure and property assets. You will also have line management responsibility for a Contract Compliance Assistant, who delivers frontline maintenance across West Yorkshire.
During your working day, you will undertake sites visits, issue works orders for infrastructure repairs and changes, as well as respond to local issues involving all aspects of infrastructure.
We are looking for someone who has experience working with on-street infrastructure, or within a similar asset environment. You will be a visible and enthusiastic team leader and will encourage partnership working across the organisation. You will motivate your team, taking a positive approach to their development.
