Role details

We currently have a vacancy for a Head of Legal – Major Transport Projects and Deputy Monitoring Officer (DMO) to join our forward-thinking Legal, Governance and Compliance Service.

This is a pivotal moment for our organisation and for the region we serve. Our transport network underpins our ambition to create a truly connected, sustainable and prosperous region - one that reduces carbon emissions, links people with the places and opportunities that matter, and drives long-term economic growth. As we embark on an unprecedented programme of transformation, the role of Legal Services has never been more critical. In recognition of the scale, complexity and pace of the work ahead, we have created this new Head of Legal role to provide strategic oversight, expert guidance and proactive legal direction across our major transport projects. This is a unique chance to shape the legal foundations of projects that will influence how our region moves, grows and thrives for years to come.

'Complete Later' function error

Since Sunday 7 June 2026, there has been an error with the application portal not allowing applicants to re-access their application forms after using the 'complete later' function within CiAnywhere.

When Applicants re-access their application using the link in their email to ‘resume application’, they are taken to the portal when an error message pops up stating ‘token not found’. This is being investigated by our technical team.

Whilst the problem persists, applicants are advised to use an external source to compile their application responses and then copy and paste this into the application portal in one go. This will avoid having to use the 'complete later' function. The layout of the application form can be found within this guidance: Information for applicants.

We are working hard to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and will provide an update on this page when the portal is working as intended. If you have any queries regarding this, please contact us by email at recruitment@westyorks-ca.gov.uk.
