Mayor of West Yorkshire responds to Government's plans for rail reform bill

Mayor of West Yorkshire Tracy Brabin said:

“If growth is the question, better transport is the answer.

“This represents a landmark moment that will see more power given to passengers and allow Mayors to have greater control over our rail networks.

“We’re already making huge strides in West Yorkshire as we take buses back under public control and press on with our plans for a mass transit system – and these plans outlined today will help us create a modern, integrated transport network to deliver on the growth mission and improve services for passengers.”
