At a visit to a women-only vaccination clinic in Bradford today, Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, said: “Today I’ve visited a vaccination centre in Bradford and heard from frontline staff about the fantastic work they’re doing to keep us all safe. People in West Yorkshire have been under restrictions longer than most, and that is why it’s so important that we do our bit and get our two jabs when eligible. I am so incredibly grateful to the researchers, scientists, NHS doctors and nurses, and others, who have worked so hard to make this possible.
“From pop up vaccination centres, to women’s only clinics like the one I have visited today, there are so many ways to get your vaccine. Having your jab is the best way to protect yourself and the ones you love. So please visit the NHS website for more details about how you can get vaccinated.”
Dr Safina Haque, GP at Kensington Partnership and Clinical Director, said: "I am really pleased to see the uptake in vaccinations in this area. We have had some challenges, but thankfully more and more people are coming forward.
”I would urge anyone who is still hesitant to speak to their GP and get their vaccinations, especially in light of the new Covid variant. I would also urge anyone who has received their first vaccine to make sure they receive their second, in order to be as protected as possible."
