Business advocacy

Mass Transit will only succeed if businesses are at the heart of it. Join the plans for trams as a business ambassador today.

Our plans for regional economic growth focus on introducing trams to West Yorkshire.

We know that a strong economy needs a good transport system that creates opportunities and growth. The support for our Mass Transit phase one proposals is growing. This support from businesses and stakeholders is important in making our vision real.

In 2024, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority asked for feedback from the public and stakeholders on phase one of our Mass Transit scheme. This phase aims to connect Leeds city centre with Bradford city centre and connect south Leeds to St James’ Hospital. After releasing our consultation findings in February, we are getting ready for the next consultation in 2026.

The benefits of Mass Transit are more than just transport. They include better urban development, more job opportunities and more investment in our region.
