We have a vacancy for a Project Lead to join our Healthtech Cluster Team in the Inclusive Economy, Skills and Culture Directorate. The Healthtech Cluster Team is responsible for supporting the economic growth of the Healthtech sector in West Yorkshire, as described in the Local Growth Plan.
In this role you will work with the Inclusive Economy Manager (Healthtech – International) to deliver the inward investment programme of the West Yorkshire Investment Zone.
West Yorkshire is home to a world-leading Healthtech ecosystem, with specialisms in digital health, medical devices and diagnostics. To further support the growth of this key sector, we need overseas Healthtech business that are considering establishing themselves in the UK to choose West Yorkshire as their new home. Our West Yorkshire Investment Zone is focussed on growing our Healthtech sector and includes an inward investment programme that will enable us to attract these businesses.
The role will require you to lead on the timely delivery of this programme, from running the application process to triaging the business’ needs and connecting them with appropriate partners and opportunities across our region. You will promote the opportunity with partner organisations from the target markets identified in our International Strategy, as well as working with the Inclusive Economy Manager and other cluster teams within the directorate to support WYCA’s international activity.
