We first met Simon in November 2023 at a progression event. He was focusing on improving his mental health after being away from work for a long time.
After a successful career in engineering, health issues meant he could not return to that role. Unsure of his next steps, Simon began exploring his options with our team's help.
He decided to focus on rebuilding his confidence and updating his skills through Adult Learning courses.

In July 2025, Simon applied for a technical training mentor role at a local FE college. With tailored interview preparation, he confidently demonstrated his technical expertise and experience in supporting others.
Simon received a job offer and started in August 2025. He now enjoys a role that makes use of his skills while supporting his health and wellbeing.
