West Yorkshire Local Digital Skills Partnership

West Yorkshire Local Digital Skills Partnership brings together passionate digital advocates and leaders from business, education, local communities and the third sector. These collaborative partnerships support the region's vision to transform lives through digital tech.

West Yorkshire Local Digital Skills Partnership, supported by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, provides an exciting opportunity to influence the digital skills landscape across the region.

Our Local Digital Skills Partnership has been created to inspire change and tackle the local digital skills challenges, with the following aims:

  • Social digital inclusion. No individual is left behind as all are supported to engage in an increasingly digital society through accessible and inclusive provision of digital skills training
  • Workforce for the Future. The skills shortages and gaps are reduced in roles within the digital sector and in roles that require digital skills.

  • SME and Third Sector Growth. SMEs and Third Sector value and invest in digital skills for their workforce to transform their businesses.

  • Simplifying the Digital Offer. All residents understand how to access digital careers guidance and digital skills training for any stage of life or work.

The West Yorkshire Local Digital Skills Partnership has created the region’s first Digital Skills Plan. The growth of digital skills for all will help us to create an inclusive society and a thriving economy in West Yorkshire.
