We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Policy Officer in our Innovation and Productivity Team, which is part of the Inclusive Economy, Skills & Culture Directorate.
The Inclusive Economy, Skills & Culture Directorate leads on creating a thriving and globally recognised business and innovation ecosystem in West Yorkshire, ensuring collaboration and partnerships across the public and private sectors enable all businesses to succeed and strive to become fair employers. The team does this through its system leadership and enabling role, through leadership and policy development, partnership development and strategic commissioning across key sectors and thematic areas such as innovation, export, business investment and inward investment.
As a Lead Policy Officer, you will lead the development of economic policies and initiatives, including developing policy proposals, appraising strategy options and co-ordinating projects and initiatives, working with a range of external and internal stakeholders to develop innovative policy solutions for West Yorkshire, and deliver the outcomes of the local growth plan across the relevant workstream.
