In order for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime (DMPC) to successfully carry out their policing and crime duties, they are supported by a team within the Mayoral Combined Authority.

The office is led by Julie Reid, the Head of Policing and Crime, who is responsible for employing and managing the staff team as well as providing a monitoring role with regard to standards. You can find out more about the role by reading the role profile.
The Head of Policing and Crime is supported by the Head of Policy and Delivery who provides professional leadership, vision, direction and takes responsibility for developing and delivering a strategic approach to policy and delivery. They advise, support and represent the DMPC in areas of policy and delivery, managing relations with key stakeholders and influencing decision makers to bring about positive change.
