With support from the Apprenticeship Levy Transfer Service, Banana Moon secured funding for two apprenticeship programmes delivered by Eden Training. Funded through a levy transfer from Amazon, the training enabled staff to gain valuable qualifications while continuing to work, helping the nursery develop skills, retain talented employees and invest in its future workforce.
Through the Apprenticeship Levy Transfer Service, Banana Moon was able to invest in staff development without the financial burden of training costs. The funding enabled employees to gain valuable qualifications, supported career progression and helped the nursery retain talented team members who are making a difference to the children and families they support.
One employee, Megan, was considering leaving her role to attend college and complete her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. Through apprenticeship funding, she was able to remain in employment while gaining her qualification, allowing her to continue developing her career in a setting she enjoys.
The funding has also supported Hayley to further her professional development by completing a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner qualification, helping her build new skills and progress within the sector.
