It’s one of the biggest events in the West Yorkshire calendar as Leeds becomes festooned with illuminating attractions over two enchanting nights.

And families from across the region can enjoy a fuss-free visit to Leeds Light Night with extra Park and Ride services in and out of the city centre late into the evening, with children travelling for free.

Visitors will also see exciting installations at both Elland Road and Stourton Park and Ride sites to whet their appetites ahead of the big event.

Elland Road will feature the installation Projector Bikes by Dan Fox, a captivating exhibit where illuminated bicycles create a striking display of light, movement and imagination, transforming the Park and Ride site into part of the Light Night experience.

Stourton will host Reunion by Kumquat Lab, an immersive installation exploring connection, gathering and shared moments through light and creative storytelling, creating a welcoming and thought-provoking start to your Light Night journey.

Weaver Network Board deputy chair Cllr Eleanor Thomson said: “Light Night is a highlight of the year for families, and holding it during half term gives them an even better opportunity to spend time exploring our city together.

“Using Park and Ride will make the journey easier and adds an extra layer of adventure for little explorers, with added fun at the sites and affordable fares too.”

Leeds Light Night takes place on Wednesday October 28 and Thursday October 29.

An adult return Park and Ride ticket costs £3 when travelling from the site after 1pm. Up to three children under 19 can travel for free with each fare paying adult.

The last bus to Elland Road will depart from Boar Lane at 11.16pm. The last bus to Stourton will depart Lower Briggate at 11.36pm.
